Did you know that bones in your skeleton are alive?
They are growing and changing all the time like other parts of your
body.

Bones in your skeleton are made of different materials.
They are called the PERIOSTEUM, COMPACT bone,
CANCELLOUS, BONE MARROW
The PERIOSTEUM is the outer surface of bone.
It is a thin and dense membrane. You can find nerves and blood
vessels in it.

The COMPACT bone is the next layer of bone.
This part is very hard. It is what you can see when you look at a
skeleton.
