               Vein
                   -  a small vessel that carries blood to the heart

               Midrib
                   -  the central vein of a leaf.

               Petiole
                   -  the thin stalk by which a leaf is attached to a stem.

               Chlorophyll
                   -  the green matter in the leaves and stems of plants that is necessary to produce food for
                      plants from sunlight

               Leaf
                   -  one of the usually green, flat parts of a plant or tree that grows from the stem or
                      branch

               Pores
                   -  a tiny opening in the skin of an animal or outer surface of a plant through which air,
                      water, or sweat may pass

               Sunlight
                   -  the light of the sun; sunshine.

               Stomata
                   -  any of various microscopic openings in the epidermis of a leaf or stem through which
                      gases and water vapor are exchanged.

               Photosynthesis
                   -  the process by which a green plant uses sunlight to change water and carbon dioxide
                      into food for itself.

               Carbon dioxide
                   -  a gas without colour or odour that is made up of carbon and oxygen. Carbon dioxide is
                      in the air and is used in soft drinks. Frozen carbon dioxide is called dry ice

               Oxygen
                   -  a gas with no colour or smell that is one of chemical elements. Oxygen combines with
                      hydrogen to make water. It also makes up about twenty percent of the earth's
                      atmosphere. Most living things need oxygen.

               Glucose
                   -  a form of sugar that occurs naturally in fruits, plants, and animal tissues, grape sugar
