In 44 BC, Julius Caesar became the life-long
dictator. He was murdered by the republicans.
One of them was his friend, Brutus.
In the famous Shakespearean play “Julius Caesar”,
Julius said: “Also you, Brutus?”
The Roman Republic ended.
