Online pop-ups

Pop-up advertisements usually appear when you are browsing a

website. Usually they are harmless advertisements, but they can also be

used by hackers to fool people into downloading malware. Some pop-

ups may claim that your computer got infected with a virus and you

have to download a program to run a test and remove the virus. By

clicking on the pop-up a download that you cannot cancel starts and

your computer will get infected by malware.
