Suleiman came to help John Zigmund, but after the defeat of Ferdinand

I´s army on August 29, 1541 he did not return Buda to John Zigmund.

Buda remained in his hands and the Kingdom of Hungary was divided

into three parts. The territory between the Donau and Tisa got under the

rule of the Ottoman Empire. Budin Eyelet was formed in this territory.
