One country with two kings. What did happen then? They started to fight
each other. But neither Ferdinand nor John could win, so in 1529 they
made an informal agreement. They divided one country into two parts.
Ferdinand I ruled in a western part. Pressburg became the centre of this
part. John Zápolya ruled in an eastern part with its centre in Buda.
